Why it is acceptable for men to show their nipples, but not for women?
Why is one seen as neutral, while the other is censored, sexualized and objectified?
The project Silvareola, explores the perception of female bodies. By casting different nipples in metal and transforming them into a tactile, functional object, the project questions a taboo and reframes it as something both ordinary and essential.
Can something be sexual if it becomes everyday?
By engaging the viewer in an intimate yet thought-provoking interaction, this work challenges ingrained societal biases and invites reflection on the politics of censorship and gender equality.
